I first heard about CBD oil a year ago from, from a friend, and immediately said “OMG, NO WAY. I Don’t need weed in my body”. I was completely uneducated as to what CBD oil really was. I heard the word Cannabis and just instantly thought, DRUG & WEED. Absolutely not. I have honestly never tried weed or any drug for that matter (I know, I was a goody girl growing up and just never really had interest) and I wouldn’t have the slightest idea as to what the side effects of cannabis would feel like and I wasn’t interested now in learning. I have learned that it is NOT THE SAME THING. But that it is important to find a trustworthy and reputable source. Not all CBD oils are equal.
In the spring I was having some issues post surgery with pain and healing when my chiropractor recommended it. I looked into it and was so overwhelmed and confused I ignored it. A few months later, I started to suffer from Anxiety and panic attacks for no reason. I couldn’t figure out why and nothing helped them go away. My migraines were popping up more often. I was a mess. I really didn’t want to have to take medication either. I saw a post much like this one from a friend and I took it as a sign. It was then that I dove head first into learning more about EXACTLY what CBD oil was and HOW it could help. I started with talking to my friends, who use the oils, about their experiences. My Mom had used CBD Oils to help her heal from her open heart surgery and the pain balm had helped her childhood friend after knee replacement. So, I dove into the science and companies. I talked to holistic practitioners and pharmacists, herbologists. I am super picky about what I put into my body and wasn’t just gonna grab any product of the pharmacy self OR just use what my friend was using I needed to see if it was right for ME. It was important to me that I find a product that was PURE, organically grown, and unadulterated.
So…Here is a little more about what I learned.
What is CBD:
It is the abbreviation for cannabidiol, one of the many cannabinoids, or chemical compounds, found in marijuana and hemp. It is a cannabis compound that has significant medical benefits. It DOES NOT GET YOU HIGH or make people feel “stoned” like you would when you smoke Marijuana. CBD is 100% non-psychoactive, meaning it doesn’t negatively impact your mind or mental process. There is no mental slowness or haziness caused by CBD. Seriously, none. How this is possible? It’s because your association of cannabis is to the marijuana plants bread for high THC content – the specific cannabinoid that gets you high. However, cannabis contains many other cannabinoids – most of which do not get you high, like CBD. Some cannabis plants are bred for high CBD content exclusively – these plants are known as ‘hemp’ – and only contain trace amounts of THC (below 0.3% to be exact). The combination of high-CBD with extremely low amounts of THC is what makes the products derived from hemp plants non-psychoactive.
The cannabis plant contains multiple cannabinoids, however, only THC provides the traditional high associated with cannabis. CBD, the second most prevalent cannabinoid, is non-psychoactive and doesn’t induce any ‘high’. CBD interacts with the body through the endogenous cannabinoid system (ECS) or endocannabinoid system. The endocannabinoid system regulates the body’s “homeostasis,” or general state of balance, from mood, sleep, appetite, hormone regulation, and pain and immune response. Essentially, it attempts to restore our body’s “normal balance” to make us feel at our optimal level. In the past decade or more, there have been over 23,000 of studies published in peer reviewed medical journals detailing the effects of cannabis, cannabis oil, and cannabinoids on the body.
So, What are some of the benefits of CBD Oil?

There is so much that this stuff can help with. This is only a few things. It’s pretty amazing. There is Scientific Research being done right now that shows CBD’s potential as a treatment for a wide range of conditions, including arthritis, diabetes, alcoholism, MS, chronic pain, schizophrenia, PTSD, depression, antibiotic-resistant infections, epilepsy, and other neurological disorders. CBD has demonstrable neuroprotective and neurogenic effects, and its anti-cancer properties are currently being investigated at several academic research centers in the United States and elsewhere. HOW COOL IS THAT!!!
CBD helps modulate the transcription of over 1100 different genes at the level of the chromosome that help every system maintain dynamic equilibrium also known as metabolism.
There are more cannabinoid receptors in the body and brain than any other receptor, making it the most prevalent regional epicenter of activity throughout every space in the body. It facilitates and mediates signals that are responsible for almost every function.

I can attest to the customer service as well. When I first started learning about the oils, I had heard about the company from a friend so I wanted to check them out. I had researched several companies, Talked to my doctors, and gone into the holistic health drug store near us to talk to someone. I left feeling so overwhelmed and confused. All the info had my head spinning and thinking, “Maybe this isn’t for me. So, I decided to check out thoughtcl0ud’s site. I was still SUPER overwhelmed. Even after getting recommendations from my friend. Like how was I supposed to know if I was getting the right thing for me? Not just getting what worked for her. So many options and combinations of what the different oils can help with. So, I noticed that the site had a chat option. I thought I would ask for help. I didn’t realize it at first BUT… I found myself chatting with Leo Pena who is actually the founder & owner of the company and is also a chemist, biologist, formulator, herbologist, and holistic medical practitioner. I told him about my anxiety, pain in my shoulder and back, migraines, family heart disease, sleep issues and a few other symptoms that I was hoping the oil would address. He sent me the info that I shared above and below then helped me break it down and figure out what would be best for me to start with. He shared more about how they test their products and how they are produced. I felt a little unsure still but definitely more excited and as ease with the product that I chose. So Grateful because I LOVE the Isolate Hemp oil that I bought and all the Other products as well.
What are the different types of CBD Oil and What’s the difference?
If you go to the Thoughtcloud website you’ll notice there are TONS of options. I know that for me, This was COMPLETELY overwhelming. I thought I would share the info that they sent me to help you get started with choosing what would be a good fit for you. I highly recommend using the chat option during their business hours so that you can ask more questions and get specific advice for YOU and YOUR needs.
The Oils:
- “Full Spectrum”
- “Sustainable Isolate”
- “High CBG”
- “High CBD”
There are different colored labels:
- Green (coconut oil)
- Blue (hemp oil)
- Yellow (pets)
- Purple (low-weight, i.e kids)
- Orange (high CBG)
- Red (high CBN)
The only difference between the Coconut Full Spectrum and Hemp Full Spectrum is the carrier oils.Use the coconut for a milder flavor and switch to hemp if you’re allergic to coconut. There is no difference in potency. Only in taste.
What are the different MG numbers: The MG’s represent the amount of oil in the bottle, not the potency of the bottle. The increase in mg corresponds to an increase in volume. There is 750 mg of CBD for every 15 mL of product. With the exception of the 500mg vial. Basically, the amount of CBD remains the same in each bottle and is adjusted to keep the ratio depending on the size of the bottle.
- 500mg
- 750mg
- 1500mg
- 3000mg
Here is Where I got totally LOST…
Full Spectrum, Isolate, High CBG and High CBD. What the heck does that mean? What is the difference?
Here is what they said…
The difference between Isolate and Full Spectrum is that Isolate contains solely CBD whereas the Full Spectrum contains 5 variations of CBD. Those variations are CBD, CBC, CBG, CBN, and CBDV.
The formulas work to target different ailments. So your symptoms will determine which CBD Oil formula you choose. Here is a little more info and break down. Some of these cross over for both. I was totally unsure of which one to pick. SO…I used the chat option. I recommend you do the same if you are still unsure.

You Can Vape
There is a Option for Vaping But I have no idea about that. I mean I have read about it. Since I haven’t tried it myself, I don’t feel right sharing my opinion. I honestly had ZERO interest in Vaping because I felt like If I did Vape, I would have to hide from my kids. They are super intuitive and would totally think I was smoking. Just didn’t feel like something I wanted to do. But, It is totally an option if you’re into that. You can go to the site to research more.
Beauty and Skin Care
Thoughtcl0ud also has more than just CBD oil. They recently started selling other products for beauty as well.
I started using the pain management balm since it was recommended that I use one for my shoulder and lower back issues. I absolutely love it. These products tend to sell out FAST so make sure if you want to try it, get it while they are in stock.
Full Spectrum Facial Beauty Bar
Beauty Mask (soothe, relax, detox the skin)
Ozonated Coconut CBD Skin Cream
Which Products do I personally use?
It’s been a month since I started using CBD Oil and it’s helped me so much. I use 15 drops, under my tongue, which is considered the “serving size”. I have found that it helps to calm my anxiety and nerves. It has helped with my migraines. It just relaxes me and allows me to chill out. I will tell you that it was not an immediate instant fix. It took a few days for me to really notice the difference and how much more chill I felt. I use the hemp oil CBD Isolate and I get the 750mg bottle because I wasn’t sure it would work or if i would like it. I just ordered the larger size because I am now a believer.
Like I said above, the pain management balm has helped so much with my shoulder and back pain too. I absolutely LOVE the face mask and face wash. My skin has cleared up a lot since using it and it has reduced the redness. The Mask is green so don’t freak out when your kids tell you you look like a witch. LOL. I just ordered the CBD oil for kids and the topical creme. I also just got the Nighttime Formula to help with sleep so I will keep you posted. I am so excited to try them out. If you have a question, just shoot me a message and I’d be happy to answer them. If I can of course.
