Clean eating is about eating real food that is not processed and doesn’t contain refined sugar, additives, caffeine, artificial sweeteners or MSG and is not Genetically Modified (GMO’s). These things are designed to make food look, taste, and smell better creating an addiction for them. The foods contains these things hold little no no nutritional value yet are high in calories. It tricks you into thinking that nutrient dense foods taste bad and you won’t eat them. Our bodid have been programmed to “crave crap” without us even realizing it. The average American eats 22 tsp of sugar a day and it is hidden in the most unlikely of foods.
