Looks like we are adding a new fence to the top of the homeowners to do list.
In the past…things like this would have sent my husband over the edge and in total stress mode thinking “how are we going to pay for that. We don’t have that kind of money”. Me too.
Life is all about how you handle situations. Cast your worries away and just be happy. It’s not always as easy as that but you do have the ability to control how you react and recover from situations. We have worked hard to recover from plenty of aweful situations and it’s our mindset that has kept us focused.
I walked in after dropping off Quin and told Val that the storm had blow down the fence. His response was simply. “Okay, what part got knocked down”. Followed by an “Okay”.
Now, The fact that we can simply pay for the repairs, in cash right now, with out even batting an eye or having to worry about where we will have to cut into the budget to handle it is PRICELESS. It wasn’t always like that.
The fact that my husband doesn’t have to stress about working overtime or picking up extra baseball lessons…that’s freedom.
Knowing that I brought something to the table that offers my family financial security…that’s making me smile from the inside out instead of freaking out. That’s my idea of a good feeling.
It’s not all about the money at all BUT when things like this come up it just makes me so grateful for the coaching opportunity and reassures my belief in that God’s timing is perfect and all the glory goes to Him.
