MOVE(s) OF THE DAY: yoga sun salutation, vinyasa, downward dog, sun salutation.
Today is a rest day but for me that means doing something that is of mind body and spirit. I love yoga because it is my way to have total peace and quiet and just connect with my body while getting an awesome stretch. It is my meditation. My mind is to busy to just sit still and meditate. Active movements and stretches with a calming environment is just so rejuvenating.
1 make sure you focus on your breathing. Slow your breaths down and really clear your mind.
2 feel each muscle as you move. Really stretch the muscles.
3 in downward dog, push the heels into the floor and the tush towards the ceiling. Shoulders to the floor.
4 do what you can. It is about connecting and calming the body.
