THE STRUGGLE IS REAL!! Okay confession time. Lol. I know that everyone thinks that I am this perfect well oiled healthy machine and that it don’t eat stuff that is bad for me…well truth is that I have a sorry little secret. Lol. Well...it’s not that bad and it hasn’t been for long. Hi, my name is Lauren, and I have a Diet Dr. Pepper problem. Lol.
I have always had really bad migraines. Since drinking Shakeology they have come few and far between. Well while I was home in MD, I got one and it has been a pain to get rid of. I swear I got it because I got off track and out of my routine when it comes to food sleep and exercise. Well, I tried everything to get rid of it and it wouldn’t go away. So I resorted to a soda as a last resort before I took my narcotic shot to get rid of it. I hate that thing. And I despise soda as well but it is the lesser of 2 evils I guess. Long story short it filled the pain and I became addicted to the soda again as it kept the pain dulled. After 2 weeks I have still not been able to kick the habit or the dull headache.
Soda is soooo bad for you. Especially diet soda. I mean what is really in it. What is caramel color, and phosphoric acid. All I see is ACID when I read that and benzonate. Can’t be good for you…and it’s not. It says zero calories and 0 sugars and 0 carbs but that only means they added more chemicals and more aspartame (which kills brain cells and gives you a high only leaving you craving more soda). It isn’t because I think it will make you fat…which it will, but it also is just bad for your body and your brain.
So….tomorrow, we start our fit force mind body and soul focus group and it is time for me to kick the habit. Some people have a hard time kicking caffeine, coffee, sweets, Starbucks or salty stuff. For me this is going to be ruff. I expect a headache for a few days and the sugar crash but I can do it!! And I will!!! If you need help kicking a habit then let’s do it together.
