These are the common things I hear. Can I just be honest and say, it is like nails on a chalk board. It is true that I do not have a 100 lb weight loss transformation and that I have never been overweight. But regardless of these facts, I DO understand what it is like to have to lose weight. To battle the everyday temptations of junk foods and the mental struggle to find motivation to workout. It may be hard to believe but I have to talk myself into my workout everyday. I drink pre workout to help me get up and get going.
After I had Audrey, making time for the gym just wasn’t in the cards. We lived 15-20 minutes away and Val didn’t want her in the gym daycare. I just wanted to shed the extra weight and to feel strong and confident again. I was suffering post partum depression and I was embarrassed around other people. I just wanted to hide out and eat comfort foods all day using “I just had a baby” as my way to not feel guilty.
I believe that YOU can do whatever you set your mind too. That you have to make that decision to get up and do something instead of just talking, wishing, or praying to change your current situation if you’re not happy with where you are or just want more. I changed my mindset and told myself I could feel better about myself, have more energy, loose the weight, say no to certain foods for a while until I got it together.
I have been working out with professional trainers online in my living room and garage now for 3.5 years. 6 months after I had Audrey I dropped 48 pounds, felt amazing and was in better shape than I was before I had her. I had accountability from friends and my husband and a group of strangers I had never met online who helped me learn and called me out when I didn’t show up. They still to this day help me learn new things and pressing play. Working out is as much a part of my day as brushing my teeth. It’s just something I do because it’s healthy for me and I feel better when I do. I eat pizza, doughnuts, ice cream, queso & chips among other things because I have learned balance.
It’s become something that I am truly passionate about. Helping people learn BALANCE with nutrition and how to make exercise and part of their daily routine. It’s what sparked this blog. I enjoy sharing with you to inspire you to do the same. My Virtual Boot Camp is always open and waiting for women just like you.
