“Progress is progress no matter how small”. It is easy to look around and say that you would never be able to do something that someone else has done or is doing. You compare yourself and that negative mindset sets in, you pick yourself apart and you throw your hands up. We have all been there right? The truth is never say never.
Hard work and determination is all you need. Release the negative from your mind. Talk positive and stop looking around at what everyone around you is doing. As long as you are making progress then you are heading in the right direction and you will get there eventually. Don’t give up because someone else gets there faster than you. Often the slow and steady pace will mean more stability later in maintaining your goal. Practice, practice, and practice some more. Practice doesn’t make perfect…it makes progress and there is always room to grow.
This is my progress picture. With my back issues I have pretty much lost all flexibility in my lower back and hamstrings which leaves both of these areas weak. I used to not even be able to grab my toe. Now I can grab my leg. My goal is to get to my knee and be a little more upright.
Keep pushing and practicing. You WILL get there if you NEVER GIVE UP…on yourself or your goals.
