I was a competitive gymnast for most of my childhood. And then I became a cheerleader. You were scored and judged for your perfection in your routines and your appearance. I learned to strive for perfection in everything in my life. This is not a bad thing. It has helped me get to where I am today. However, it eventually caught up to me. It is part of who I am. Failure is something I struggle with and leaves me feeling inadequate at times. I never connected that part of my life with some of the things I struggle with as an adult.
BUT…For the first time in a long time, i am able to say and believe… I AM confident, I AM strong, I AM beautiful, I AM capable, I AM perfectly imperfect and I am okay with that.
Thank you MTH conference, my blue group & Lara for helping me rediscover who I AM 💕
