This was amazing!! My son wanted ice cream and when it is late at night I am not a fan of all that sugar in his system. He is always asking “Can I have a healthy dessert mommy”? SOOOO I decided to try this out. We have tried many ice cream recipes. but this one was just 3 ingredients and we whipped it up in no time.
Super easy and delicious. 0 refined sugars and 100% organic. Just frozen bananas, strawberries, and a dash of coconut or almond milk.
My kids LOVED this and making it was fun too. Pin it and Share so you have it for later!
What you need:
(Makes 1 Serving)
1 ripe organic banana (cut and frozen)
1 handfull organic strawberries (frozen or fresh)
A dash of organic coconut or unsweetened almond milk (you could use any milk)
What to do:
Peel and cut the banana into slices. Place on a cookie sheet or in a plastic bag and freeze. Freeze fresh whole strawberries or sliced. You could also use store bought organic frozen strawberries. Freeze for about an hour. Place frozen fruit in the blender with a dash of the Milk product you choose and pulse. Once it is a bit less chunky you can blend into a puree like mix. Add more liquid as needed but it should have the consistency of ice cream. We placed our mixture in a plastic container and stuck it in the freezer for another hour or so. The ice cream became harder and it became easier to scoop into balls with an ice cream scoop.
Enjoy!
