Stillness is hard. We don’t want to be still. We aren’t sure if we can handle it. What if what’s waiting for us in the stillness is painful or overwhelming? We don’t want to feel. We fear stillness won’t be productive. We are doers so we naturally just want to DO.
Stillness is actually part of moving forward. In stillness we are able to hear powerful wisdom that gives us clarity. Clarity produces action. All you have to do is open your ears, your heart, and your mind. We keep asking for someone to tell us what to do. We just have to be still and listen.
Stillness enables us to move forward with purpose and intention. Surrender to stillness. Trust and be patient in the dry times and the slow periods of growth. God is always at work in your life, in every season, he is with you.
