So who splurged on anything and everything that you wanted this past week?? I know I did and I am totally feeling the repercussions of that. It is time to get FOCUSED and back on the clean eating wagon today. When I eat crappy food…it craves more food that just isn’t good for me. When I’m eating clean every day I crave clean food. People don’t just wake up one day and instantly live a clean healthy lifestyle every day…they actually TRAIN their bodies into wanting to nothing but good clean unprocessed foods. In the beginning you have to find guidance and support and have a plan laid out in front of you to help you learn the ropes and get through it. Sometimes you have to force yourself to not give in but give it a few weeks and it will become second nature! So get yourself on a pan or a system to just start. It is the same thing with working out. When you are lazy your body will still continue to crave laziness. Ever notice how when you sleep in you are usually even more tired that day and feel like you need a nap?? Same thing. Force yourself to workout when you don’t want to and do the same thing when you go to eat, force yourself to make/order something unprocessed. Before you know it, it will be so natural and will have become a lifestyle!! You CAN DO IT!!
A good place to start is to clean up the fruits and veggies you eat. Add more of them. Color is always a good choice for your plate. Add more colorful fruits and veggies. You can start with the dirty dozen and the clean 15 which are below.
Non organic Fruits and veggies usually contain the most pesticides and chemicals. These poisons do not biodegrade in nature and the residue will build up in your system when eaten. These toxins accumulate in your muscle and fat tissues. They bioconcentrate and are stored in our fat. How gross! Many of the pesticides and chemicals that have been sprayed on non organic veggies and fruits are links to many diseases and illnesses, cancers being one of the most common. Basically you are poisoning your body with harmful toxins and chemicals without even knowing it.
